The audience of this blog by country. Which one is the biggest surprise to you?

This is the historical audience of this blog by country.

Which county is the biggest surprise to you?

I'm undecided between Norway being #5 and Ukraine being #10...
And also very intrigued...
Why would Ukraine even make the list?
Why Norway is so high on the list?
Why Italy is not higher on the list?
What happened to the readers of some "wine countries" like Spain and Portugal?
What about Brazil not making the list?

If I had to guess it, I would probably only get right the USA being at the top...

Cheers,
Luiz Alberto

It's ‪#‎CabFrancDay‬... but it's not only about celebrating it anymore, #winelover-s...

It's ‪#‎CabFrancDay‬... but it's not only about celebrating it anymore...

Thanks to Jim Budd, we have a cause to fight!

Yet another example of highly unpleasant corporate bullying this time Hachette going after a small 4.5 ha domaine in Bourgueil run by two women.

Please read this article: http://jimsloire.blogspot.co.uk/…/unbelieveable-hachette-fi…

...and on this day... ‪#‎winelover‬-s, please do share!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

It's time again for the Battle of the Belgian Beers this Saturday at Jimmy's No. 43 in New York City by Philip S. Kampe

Choose your favorite Belgian style beer.

Each year I wait for the first weekend in dreary December to open my taste buds and sample well over twenty five Belgian and Belgian style beers at Jummy's No. 43 (43 East 7th Street) in Manhattan. This is the sixth year of competition for the Annual Battle of the Belgians. Last year was my first visit. Besides the amazing beers, the cuisine, including a roasted pig, topped off one of the greatest beer events that I had taken part in.

This years event will be judged by many of the 'beer gurus' of the world. They will do a Friday night judging. Then, on Saturday, you can pick your favorites.

Tickets are $65 online at www.jimmysno43.com. (only 50 tickets will be sold)
Telephone 212-982-3006 if you need help.

Jimmy's No. 43 is not the largest space available, so, if you are interested, I would suggest that you buy your tickets beforehand.
Brewers and distributors from around the globe get together for this event. The contest is simple, can the international Belgian style beers match up against the authentic Belgian styles.

The list of beers that will compete include (not all beers show up):
Hitachino Saison (Japan)
L'Anjub/Stillwater collaboration: Catalan Farmshouse Ale (Spain)
Hof Ten Dormaal/Stillwater collaboration:Arcana (a Belgian farmhouse stout) (Germany)

Belgian style beers from the USA:
Allagash Triple
The Bruery Oude Tart
Folksbier Abigale (on draught)
LIC Beer Project (on draught)
Stillwater-TBA
Jolly Pumpkin Bam Noire
Jollu Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza
Crooked Stave Wild Sage Lambic (on draught)

Belgian beer competitors:
Orval
Rochefort 8
Rochefort 10
Westmalle Dubble
Tilquin Gueuze
Kerkon 'Reuss' blended Lambic
Alvinne Wild West Sour
Stubbe Ichtegems
Fantome Hiver Saison
