The Italian Independent Winegrowers open their first Wine Market in Piacenza (Emilia Romagna)

Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December 2011 the first Wines Market of Independent Winegrowers opens the doors at Piacenza Expo (60 kilometers from Milano).

Two days for discovering, tasting and buying over 1,000 wines made with craftsmanship by 200 winegrowers from all over Italy and France. Two days to meet the producers that will personally tell visitors and winelovers of their wines and territories.

An amazing journey through the most interesting Italian wine regions. From the peaks of Val d’Aosta, Alto Adige and Trentino to the sparkling Prosecco and Franciacorta wines; from the classics Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino to the unknown pearls of an undiscovered Tuscany. And then we travel South to meet the wines of Campania, Calabria and much much more...

The wines of the Independent winegrowers are strongly tied to their terroir. An Independent Winegrower grows the grapes, transforms them in wine, sells his/her wine. These are the artisanal wines that made Italy be well known all over the world.

Visitors will be also invited to take part in thematic tastings aiming to let particular wine areas be discovered and explored.
