Dr. Konstantin Frank 's " 2010 GEWURZTRAMINER RESERVE " Wins Prestigious Award by Philip S. Kampe

Rated as "BEST WHITE WINE" at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Dr. Konstantin Frank's "2010 GEWURZTRAMINER RESERVE" took TOP PRIZE at the Largest U.S. wine competition in the world. There were 5,500 entries in all classes and the FINGER LAKES winery came out on top as the BEST WHITE WINE.

Considering the competition in the U.S. for white wines, this is a statement that the wines from the FINGER LAKES prevail in 2012.

According to JIM TREZISE, the late Dr. Konstantin Frank pioneered the "VINIFERA REVOLUTION" in the FINGER LAKE wine region. Dr. Frank PROVED that the delicate European grape varieties could survive and thrive in the wintry climate of the Finger Lakes.

As a result, virtually all of the 100+ vineyards of the FINGER LAKES produce some "VINIFERA" wines.

Dr. Konstantin's grandson, FRED FRANK, is the THIRD GENERATION to head the winery.

The wines of Dr. Konstantin Frank have won HUNDREDS of GOLD MEDALS in national and regional competitions and is recognized as the leader of Finger Lakes wines.

The 2010 Gewurtzaminer Reserve has aromas of rose pedals and lime on the nose with vanilla, grapefruit and banana on the palate. The wine is full-bodied with a long clean, mineral finish

The 2010 Gewurtzaminer Reserve retails for $24.99 and is 13.4% alcohol.

Dr. Konstantin Frank makes consistent wonderful wines. His price points are always fair versus the quality of his products. I look forward to trying this award winning wine.
