GRAN ARAUCANO CABERNET SAUVIGNON Voted "BEST Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon 2012" by Philip S. Kampe

FRANCOIS LURTON says "If I were a vine, I would want to be planted in CHILE".

It looks like FRANCOIS LURTON knows how to plant vines in Chile.
Chile is a 'Paradise' for vines.

It has been 15 years (1997)since Francois Lurton has marketed his wines in Chile under the ARAUCANO Brand.

It is the THIRD time (2005 & 2006) that GRAN ARAUCANO has taken the GOLD MEDAL at the WINES OF CHILE Awards that took place in Santiago on Thursday, January 12th.

The 2009 GRAN ARAUCANO took FIRST Place.

Francois Lurtons Vineyards are located in the picturesque COLCHAQUA VALLEY. It is one of the most beautiful wine growing regions in the world. The Valley, near the town of LOLOL, is located in-between two mountain ranges that provide ideal weather conditions for grape maturity.

Francois has consistently won several awards for the wines that are grown on this 500 acre plot.

The GOLD MEDAL Winner, 2009 GRAN ARAUCABO, undergoes a long maceration, then is barrel matured. Fruity and vegetal scents prevail while spice, cherry and raspberry dominate the palate.

The 2009 GRAN ARAUCANO Cabernet Sauvignon is both bold and approachable.

Look for this wine from HACIENDA ARAUCANO Francois Lurton at your local wine shop or Visit: www.DomaineFrancoisLurton.com for more information.
